Ok, I am shaking right now! My son has an appointment with the Navy! They have been calling because Eric took a test and scored 98%! They said the highest is a 99%.
The man we talked to only got a 68% on his test! Well, they want Eric for technical stuff not combat! Which is a relief but I am still very stressed about it. They are offering a lot of money and schooling! I am not sure what to think about this! He is only 16 years old for crying out loud!!! I know he can not sign anything till he is 17 but this is something I thought would never ever happen! Not in a MILLION years! I thought he would go to a university and get the job he wants! Little did I know that if he joins the Navy it could help in his career!
Thoughts anyone???

I think it's great that he did so well on his test! It could be a very good opportunuty for him. I'm sure he would come back a better man, but yes I would be scared also! It's one thing when it's someone else's son, but when it's your baby it's too scary! Good luck.
so many people are joining the military right now (or so it just seems, at least to me). and they are into the smart kiddo-s (not just the grunts that can shoot a gun----hmmmm)
my younger brother just joined that AF and he's not going to be doing combat either---something with planes and fixing them and all that jazz
you should be flattered that they think that he is so smart---that IS flattering. don't worry--yet :)
You must be so proud about his test score! What a good mother you must be!
It would make me a little nervous too, but you can take a little time and get all the info. it's great that he did so well on his test though!
My son is a senior this year and is in the process of applying for scholarships and such. It's a scary time to see your kids growing up! And...it makes me feel so OLD! :)
Very cool to have such a brilliant son, but the Navy doesn't sound like something I would love for my sons either.
Love the blog name, btw. Who doesn't love to be comfy!
